24 June 2011The expansion of internet banking poses two basic challenges for banks; the need for innovation and standing out in the virtual world, as well as solving the soon to be increasing problems in maintaining the profitability of traditional bank branches.
Despite a dynamic increase in the number of bank branches year on year, prognosis indicates that the next decade will bring a turnaround in this trend.
At the end of 2010, 16 million clients in Poland had access to internet banking. It is estimated that this number will increase by a million every consecutive year.
