Barry Hancock, Managing Director, Standard & Poor
Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services MD Barry Hancock joined the company in 1987 and heads up the European corporate and governments services group, within credit market services.
He was previously a regulator with the Bank of England, where he was a key participant in the development of Standard & Poor’s European Bank Ratings. Additionally, he assumed responsibility for the Insurance Practice in 2001 before assuming his current position. He is the author of many articles on banking in Europe and a regular speaker at conferences within the region.
Hancock holds a degree in Business Studies from Guildhall University.
