DOMESTIC AND CROSS-BORDER PENSION PLANS

AEGON Global Pensions offers a broad range of products and services to help multinational firms manage their pension plans more efficiently and effectively. Some of these products provide essentially ‘domestic’ solutions (DB/DC plans, asset management and risk benefits), tailored to local customs, practices and regulations.

Others offer a new generation of solutions catering to multinational companies that are opting for an integrated, cross-border approach to pension management (asset pooling, risk pooling, pooling of information, expatriate solutions).

DOMESTIC CONTRIBUTION PLANS AND BENEFIT PLANS

Aegon’s domestic pension solutions include defined contribution plans. These include full service DC plans and pension savings programme offered through the workplace. All products are tailored to local market rules and regulations and provide access to a range of investment funds.

Aegon’s defined benefit plans include full-service DB plans fit for local rules and regulations, as well as bundled solutions with investment options tailored to local market requirements.

PENSION ASSET MANAGEMENT

Aegon provides investment solutions designed for the management of pension assets. The platform comprises a full range of investment funds, multiple asset classes and investment styles LDI solutions and overlays. A range of risk benefits is also available, including life insurance, accidental death and disability cover. 

CROSS-BORDER PENSION SOLUTIONS

Aegon’s cross-border pension solutions include defined benefit legacies and transition. The company provides innovative exit strategies, tailored to comply with local market rules and regulations, to buy-out outstanding DB liabilities at attractive conditions.

Multinational risk pooling solutions are also available to allow efficient risk coverage and a reduction in costs. Alternatively, asset pooling is a standardised, bundled solution to bring pension assets in Europe under a single roof, for improved governance and efficiency and access to best-of-class asset management solutions.

Aegon offers expatriate solutions. These take the form of a retirement benefit package for expatriate and transnational employees, that enables employee mobility. For pooling of information, a web-based tool, ‘Benefit Keeper’ is available to consolidate, store and manage information from pension and employee risk benefit plans around the world.
