ING Bank NV - Banking, Insurance and Asset Management Services

ING Group is a global financial services company of Dutch origin with 150 years of experience, providing a wide array of banking, insurance and asset management services in over 50 countries. Our 114,000 employees work daily to satisfy a broad customer base: individuals, families, small businesses, large corporations, institutions and governments. Based on market capitalisation, ING is one of the 20 largest financial institutions worldwide and ranked in the top-10 in Europe.

PAYMENTS AND CASH MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

Wherever your business leads you to in Europe, local ING professionals in our extensive and truly pan-European branch network offer you practical and easy-to-implement payments and cash management solutions. Through ING, you will have one point of access to services ranging from automated liquidity management, reporting facilities and documentary trade services to our committed implementation and support teams. Whether you are doing business in Eastern or South-West Europe or in the Nordic region, ING offers you relevant and constructive solutions.

OPTIMISING LIQUIDITY MANAGEMENT

In addition to our regular payments services such as electronic funds transfers and direct debits, ING can integrate the following services into your corporate structure.

CASH BALANCING AND SWEEPING

Funds are transferred into a master account daily according to your preferred position: zero, target, intraday and overnight. Intraday cash balancing helps to avoid many of the dangers involved in cross-border pooling while maximising the opportunities to capitalise upon its advantages. Cash balancing or sweeping is the process by which a corporate 'sweeps' the balances from his subsidiary and participating companies into the master account. The fundamental objective of a sweeping arrangement is to capitalise on excess balance and gain a maximum benefit on working capital while, at the same time, maintaining liquidity.

NOTIONAL POOLING

Notional pooling allows you to compensate interest on combined credit and debit balances without physically transferring funds. Credits and debits offset one another, reducing interest expenses. Subsidiaries benefit from global liquidity while still controlling day-to-day cash management.

GLOBAL LIQUIDITY MANAGEMENT

Manage liquidity positions on a multi-bank multi-currency basis through ING subsidiary Bank Mendes Gans. Benefit from global multi-currency cash pooling and cross-currency netting structures. This eliminates the need for FX and swap transactions and reduces inter-company loans and paperwork.

CONNECTIVITY

Apart from the different types of traditional electronic-banking products, ING also offers you direct connectivity supported by our ING FTP services and also through our ING SWIFT Member Administered Closed User Group (MA-CUG). Customers and ING can exchange status messages, file funds transfer, balance and reporting information. Our service is based on open messaging and data communication standards. Messages can be sent in EDIFACT or local ACH formats via a secure TCP/IP connection.
