Capgemini and IBX Announce Collaboration to Develop Procurement Business Process Outsourcing Solution

Paris – Capgemini America, a subsidiary of the Capgemini Group, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, and IBX Group, the leading provider of efficient e-purchasing solutions, have announced that they will work together to develop a new, industry-first, end-to-end global procurement solution - deployed on Capgemini's BPOpen™ technology platform - which is expected to significantly lower the cost of procurement for clients, accelerate the return on sourcing cost savings, and enhance visibility and control of their procurement process.

This new solution jointly developed by Capgemini and IBX is expected to enable clients to incur only one-tenth of the implementation costs of traditional implementation approaches in their sourcing efforts. The solution will leveraging the combined strengths of the two companies, including industry-leading technology and processes, strong competence in both purchasing process and purchasing technology, and global delivery centers – part of Capgemini's Rightshore® delivery network – that provide cost-effective transaction processing.

All sets of tools within the BPOpen technology platform are quickly and readily deployable without the need to build a new system for each customer. This development is aimed at enabling clients to address all key supply chain challenges – ranging from spend visibility, to leveraged global sourcing, to process efficiency and control – resulting in the generation of sustainable value.
