Harnessing scalability and agility to become a global FMCG player

Following six global mergers, Arla, the global dairy company, has focused on harvesting the synergies and streamlining its processes to operate as one Arla. CFO Natalie Knight will highlight the role of finance in achieving such growth as well as its role in supporting its strategic innovation and efficiency objectives.

Natalie Knight, Chief Financial Officer, Arla Foods
Natalie M. Knight has been the Chief Financial Officer and Member of Executive Management Group at Arla Foods since January 1, 2016. In addition to being responsible for the financial and legal teams, Natalie also has global responsibility for IT. Prior to joining Arla, Natalie spent 17 years at adidas AG in Germany and the US, where she led Investor Relations and subsequently combined this role with responsibility for M&A. In 2008, Natalie became CFO of North America for adidas, after which took on a global role as SVP Brand and Commercial Finance. Her final role at adidas was SVP Group Functions, where she was responsible for a large international team, providing strategic and financial support to adidas' Global Operations, Indirect Procurement and other global functions. Prior to her time with adidas, Natalie has held Investor Relations roles in BASF and Bankgesellschaft Berlin and was also the Director for Business Information at the US Embassy in Germany. Natalie originally comes from Seattle and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business and German from the University of Arizona. She moved to Germany in 1992 and completed her Masters programme in Economics while working at the US Embassy in Berlin.

Pascal Visée, Non Executive & Business Advisor   

Mr. Visée has moderated several successful FDE briefings and round tables across Europe including events in London, Amsterdam, Helsinki and Copenhagen. Mr. Visée is currently an independent board advisor and holds several supervisory board positions, which include: Rabobank (financial services) PLUS (retail), Albron (catering), Mediq (medical services) and Erasmus (university). He was recently the Chief Enterprise Support Officer of Unilever, having spent almost 27 years at the Anglo-Dutch group. In 1995, he moved to Unilever Finland as Financial Director before becoming SVP Finance at Unilever North-East Asia. He spent 3 years as Financial Director of Unilever Germany before becoming SVP, Finance of Unilever Europe Foods. He then was appointed Group Treasurer (responsible for Group Finance, Tax, Pensions & Insurance) before his final role, which was to establish and lead the Unilever Global Business Services organisation - as a direct report to the CEO. Visée studied 'Economics & Business' and 'Dutch law' in Rotterdam and 'Chartered accountancy' in Tilburg.

From the airport
The metro runs directly from terminal 3 to Kongens Nytorv. Get off at Kongens Nytorv and walk to Phoenix Copenhagen Hotel in around 5 minutes.

If you take a taxi from the airport, it will cost around DKK 250. All taxis run on a meter and accept dankort and most major international credit cards.
From the Oslo boat

Take bus no. 26 heading for Ålholm Plads. Get off at Dr. Tværgade/St. Kongensgade and walk to the hotel in around 2 minutes.

Parking
Phoenix Copenhagen has 4 parking spaces in its courtyard. Because of a few numbers of parking spaces they cannot be reserved but they are used on a “first comes first served”.

There is alternative parking at The Park House (Jeudan in Dronningens Tværgade 4. 1302 København K). Mention that you will be at The Phoeniz Hotel and you may be entitled for a discount rate.
