Effective disclosure strategy for climate-related risks

Climate related risks are often neglected from corporate risk management systems, processes and frameworks Many users of climate-related financial disclosures commonly identify inconsistencies in disclosure practices, a lack of context for information, and incomparable reporting as major obstacles to incorporating climate-related risks as a consideration in their investment, credit, and underwriting decisions. Graeme Pitkethly, CFO of Unilever and Vice Chairman of the FSB’s Task Force of Climate Related Financial Disclosures, will talk about how establishing a framework and adhering to key principles of climate-related financial disclosure is critical to achieving the desired level of transparency.  He will also draw from Unilever’s own best practice in managing data and utilising advanced analytics to achieve the increased level of granularity required by stakeholders in today’s digital world.

Our Aims:
Since 1992 FDE magazine has delivered informative and authoritative coverage of the finance function, bringing you comment and analysis from the world's most powerful business leaders. The objective of FDE events are to gather a community of leading Finance Directors / CFOs at world class venues to gain valuable insight from distinguished speakers. Participants have the opportunity to meet, network and discuss relevant issues and trends over a "waiter served" full English breakfast.
